How I use Gmail
Email is where a lot of manual work hides — reading inbound messages, figuring out what they need, copying details into another system, drafting a reply. I automate the reading and the drafting so your team handles exceptions instead of every message.
I connect through the Gmail API with access scoped to a specific mailbox — often a shared inbox like sales@ or support@ — using OAuth you control. Workflows parse incoming mail, extract what matters, and either act on it or draft a response for approval.
Claude does the interpretation: what is this person actually asking, is it urgent, what's the right reply, which system needs updating. Nothing sends without a human unless you explicitly move a step to auto-send.
Gmailis rarely the whole system — it's one connected piece of a workflow I scope, build, and run end to end. See how I build automation or read a real invoice-processing build with Gmail + Claude. Curious what your manual version costs today? Estimate it with the ROI calculator.
What I automate with Gmail
- Parse inbound emails into CRM contacts, support tickets, or database records
- Classify and route messages by intent, urgency, and topic
- Draft context-aware replies for a person to review and send
- Trigger follow-up workflows from replies, bounces, and engagement
Example workflows I build
Shared inbox triage
Every message to support@ is classified by Claude, matched to the existing customer, and turned into a ticket with a drafted reply. Simple, known questions come pre-answered; anything ambiguous is flagged for a person.
Quote request capture
An inbound quote request is parsed for the product, quantity, and timeline, a CRM deal is created with those details, and the salesperson gets a drafted acknowledgement plus the structured summary.
Reply-driven CRM updates
When a prospect replies to a sequence, the workflow detects intent, updates the deal stage, logs the message to the timeline, and drafts the next step for the rep.
