1. Overview

Smart AI Workspace (“Smart AI Workspace”, “I”, “me”) is a solo-founded B2B AI automation consultancy operated by Tariq Osmani. This policy explains what personal data I collect through this website (smartaiworkspace.tech), why I collect it, who it is shared with, and the rights you have over it.

This document is provided for transparency and is not legal advice. If you have a specific concern about your data, contact me using the details in section 11.

2. Information I collect

Information you give me. When you submit the contact form, I collect the name, email address, company name, service interest, industry, and message content you provide. If you email me directly, I receive whatever information is in your message.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, analytics tools collect standard usage data such as pages viewed, referring URLs, approximate location (derived from IP address), device and browser type, and interactions with the page. This data is tied to cookie or device identifiers rather than your name.

I do not knowingly collect special-category data (health, political views, and similar), and I ask that you do not include it in the contact form.

3. How I use your information

• To respond to your enquiry and discuss a potential engagement.
• To send follow-up communication related to a project or enquiry you started.
• To understand how the site is used and improve its content and performance.
• To maintain the security and integrity of the site.
• To comply with legal obligations.

The legal bases I rely on (where UK/EU GDPR applies) are your consent (analytics and marketing cookies), the taking of steps at your request prior to entering a contract (responding to enquiries), my legitimate interests in running and securing the site, and compliance with legal obligations.

4. Third-party services and data sharing

I do not sell your personal data. I share it only with the service providers that make this website and my enquiry process work:

• Vercel — website hosting and content delivery. Server logs may include IP addresses.
• Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager (Google) — website analytics and tag management, loaded only after you accept analytics cookies.
• Cookie-Script — cookie consent banner and consent record-keeping.
• Workflow automation and email tooling — contact form submissions are delivered to me through an automated workflow (n8n) and by email so I can read and reply to them.

Some of these providers are based in the United States, so your data may be transferred outside the UK/EU. Where that happens, the transfer relies on the provider's standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard.

5. Cookies and consent

The site uses strictly necessary cookies to function, and analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4) that are only set after you give consent through the Cookie-Script banner. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the cookie settings link in the banner. Blocking analytics cookies does not affect your ability to use the site.

6. Data retention

I keep contact enquiries for as long as needed to deal with your request and, if we work together, for the duration of the engagement plus the period required for tax, accounting, and legal purposes. Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are deleted once they are no longer relevant. Analytics data is retained according to the retention period configured in Google Analytics (up to 14 months) and in aggregate form afterwards.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data I hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, receive a copy in a portable format, and withdraw consent. If you are in California, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request its deletion, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights; I do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA.

8. Data security

The site is served over HTTPS and I use reputable providers with their own security programs. Access to enquiry data is limited to me. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so I cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's privacy

This site is a business service and is not directed at children. I do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

10. Changes to this policy

I may update this policy as the site or my tools change. The “last updated” date at the top reflects the current version.
